How to wake up in the morning

In last few months a lot of people asked me: “How to the f*** can you wake up in the morning and go to the gym???”, “I can’t leave my warm bed!”, “Morning rituals are not for me”, “Is crazy!”.

I decided to share my opinion on this topic for those who may find it interesting.

Why do you wake up and go to the work? I think all of us would answer: “Because I have to.” Well, that’s exactly the answer to this topic as well. I bought a new mug after I changed my apartment with very inspiring title on it:

Life is too short, do stuff that matters

And before I plan my day, I always have a look firstly at my mug and think for a second about what is actually important to do today.

My advice  is:

Don’t be stupid! Don’t wake up for something ordinary. In that case is better to give the body more rest and continue sleeping.

If you want to start waking up at 5:30am make sure the reason behind it is something that you can’t live without or at least is very important for you. If you find such a thing in your life, congratulation, you will find also the willpower to do so, even if there is still dark outside!

Thing about it, make a list of your 5 priorities before you setup your next alarm ;)

One more thing. You most likely will occur in a situation where it’s important for you, but you still don’t want to do it.

1. Prepare, practise some gesture of success.
2. Take some action that you are going to enjoy right after you wake up. In my case is a a delicious breakfast, fruit’s smoothie. Well, and if you are already wide-awake, quickly run to do what you need to do until you lose your breakfast motivation.
3. Execute the gesture! Celebrate, whatever, trick your brain a little, is for a bigger good :)
4. We are creatures of habit! Try to do it at least first month without skipping any day, make a habit from it and it will become your second nature!
